Masontown: Frisco’s Victoria Mine and Ghost Town is the first comprehensive history of the Victoria Mine and its surrounding company camp. Previously one of Frisco’s most arguable histories, this book examines the local lore compared to primary sources to reveal what truly happened within the ghost town of our outskirts. While showing new connections to the importance of this property and the development of the Summit County, chapters also include the crime, murder, and greed that so regularly followed mining boomtowns. Equipped with a hiking guide, this book gives its readers a detailed hike to and throughout the old town.
